Educating the children
While parents shape the home environment, children themselves play an active role in developing and sustaining healthy sleep habits. Our recent work has focused on bringing sleep education directly into schools working with elementary-aged children to help them understand sleep in ways that are both meaningful and engaging.
Through classroom-based sessions, we introduce sleep as a fundamental part of daily life, not just something that happens at night, but something that affects how they feel, learn, and interact throughout the day.
Learning Through Experience, Not Just Information
Our sessions are designed to:
- Keep children actively engaged
- Translate sleep concepts into relatable ideas
- Encourage participation and curiosity
- Reinforce learning through experience rather than memorization
Educating children requires a different approach from educating adults. Rather than relying solely on instruction, we focus on child-friendly methods that combine hands-on activities, interactive games, and simple explanations
What We Are Seeing in Classrooms
Through our work with elementary school students, we have observed that children are highly receptive to sleep education when it is presented in an accessible and interactive format. They are able to quickly grasp connections between sleep and their mood, energy, and performance in school.
In many cases, children also become messengers within their own families—bringing what they learn back home and influencing daily routines in subtle but meaningful ways.
Children at different ages understand and engage with sleep in different ways. Our programs are designed to reflect these developmental differences, ensuring that content is both age-appropriate and effective.
For younger children, this means:
- Visual learning and storytelling
- Simple routines and behavioral cues
- Interactive play-based activities.
For older children, this includes:
- More structured explanations
- Understanding cause and effect
- Building awareness of habits such as screen use and daily routines

Reinforcement Tools for Lasting Impact
Because these sessions are currently delivered as one-time experiences, we place strong emphasis on what children take with them afterward. A single 45-minute session can introduce important ideas, but without reinforcement, those lessons can quickly fade.
To support continued engagement at home, each child receives a certificate of participation titled SLEEP CHAMPION, serving as both recognition and a reminder of what they have learned.

For younger children, this includes a visual bedtime routine chart that encourages consistency through structure and positive reinforcement. For older children, we introduce a three-week bedtime checklist designed to build awareness, accountability, and habit formation over a longer period.

These tools are intentionally practical. They give children something to return to, helping extend the impact of a single session into their everyday routines.
Beyond One-Time Sessions
While one-time sessions are valuable for introducing concepts and creating initial awareness, they are rarely sufficient to create lasting behavioral change. Sleep habits are shaped over time through repetition, consistency, and reinforcement within the home environment.
In many cases, meaningful change requires continued guidance not only for children, but also for parents who shape daily routines and expectations. Without this ongoing support, even well-understood concepts may not translate into sustained habits.
Recognizing this, our long-term goal is to move beyond one-time sessions toward more continuous, structured programs that allow for reinforcement, follow-up, and deeper integration into both school and home environments.
Expanding Through School Partnerships
Building on these early classroom experiences, in April 2026 we are expanding our work through partnerships with schools such as Kind Academy through our Sleep Corner platform alongside the Foundation. As a new institution placing emphasis on after-school development, Kind Academy is creating space for programs that support children beyond traditional academics.

Our collaboration focuses on integrating sleep education into a broader ecosystem of child wellbeing, alongside areas such as yoga, meditation, mentorship, speech therapy, art therapy and many more.
Building Early Awareness for Long-Term Impact
Addressing a Missing Piece in Education
Sleep education is not currently a structured part of school systems in Mongolia. As a result, many children grow up without a clear understanding of one of the most important factors influencing their health and learning.
By introducing sleep education early, we aim to fill this gap by helping children build awareness and habits that can support them throughout their academic journey and beyond.

When children understand the importance of sleep from a young age, they are more likely to carry these habits into adolescence and adulthood. Early education creates a foundation that supports not only individual wellbeing, but also broader societal health over time.
Through continued collaboration with schools and educators, we are working toward a future where sleep is recognized as an essential part of child development both at home and within the education system.
Bring Sleep Education to Your Classroom
If you are a school or organization interested in introducing sleep education to your students, we welcome opportunities to collaborate and deliver age-appropriate, engaging sessions tailored to your setting.
