Mongolia’s Children Deserve Better Sleep
Mongolia’s first nonprofit dedicated to pediatric sleep health. We educate families, train educators, and work alongside healthcare providers to ensure every child gets the restorative sleep they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
Sleep is the biological foundation of a child’s education, mental health, physical development, and quality of life. It begins at home. When families understand sleep, children benefit immediately and lastingly.
But family change is only the first step. Mongolia needs sleep health recognized as a national priority, embedded in policy, taught in schools, and supported by healthcare. Societal change starts somewhere. It starts here.

Our key initiatives
01
Educating parents
Parents are the first line of defense in a child’s sleep health. Through workshops, community programs, and accessible resources, the Foundation equips parents with practical, evidence-based guidance from establishing healthy sleep routines in infancy to identifying signs of sleep disorders in school-age children.
02
Educating children
Sleep health education belongs in every classroom. The Foundation partners with schools across Ulaanbaatar to deliver age-appropriate sleep programs directly to students by building awareness, changing habits, and creating a generation that understands the value of rest. When children understand sleep, they bring that knowledge home.
03
Raising awareness
Pediatric sleep health is absent from Mongolia’s public health agenda. The Foundation works to change that by engaging policymakers, healthcare institutions, and media to establish sleep health as a national child welfare priority. Systemic change requires institutional pressure. We provide it.
04
Professional collaboration
The Foundation partners with pediatricians, psychologists, and primary care providers to integrate sleep health into routine child wellness visits. Early identification of sleep disorders leads to better outcomes. We build the clinical pathways that make early intervention possible.
Standing at the forefront of sleep health
Our work is supported by an advisory panel of individuals who have contributed to this mission in meaningful ways. Whether through guidance, encouragement, or a shared belief in the importance of sleep health, their support continues to shape and strengthen the direction of our work.
We remain open to working with professionals and individuals who are aligned with this vision—those who are interested in contributing their knowledge, experience, networks, or perspective to help advance sleep health in Mongolia. As this work grows, it is shaped not by one effort alone, but by a collective of people who recognize the importance of building something long-term, practical, and impactful.

Why Children sleep foundation?
Five years at the Frontier
The Children’s Sleep Foundation was established when pediatric sleep health had no dedicated voice in Mongolia. With five years of hands-on experience as the country’s pioneer in this field, our programs are built on real knowledge of Mongolian children, families, and communities not imported assumptions.
Mongolia’s Only Dedicated Organization
No other organization in Mongolia focuses exclusively on pediatric sleep health. We exist to fill a gap that has gone unaddressed for too long working directly with families, schools, and clinics across Ulaanbaatar.
Evidence-Based Programs
Every program we deliver is grounded in current international sleep research and adapted for Mongolian children. Families receive practical, proven strategies not generic translated advice.

culturally grounded. locally delivered
Sleep science is global. But the way families live, sleep, and raise children in Mongolia is distinct. Ger households, extended family structures, harsh winters, urban density in Ulaanbaatar, and deeply held cultural rhythms around rest all shape how children sleep and how sleep problems develop.
